Vicki in <The Great Cause of China's Foundation> Film

Earlier on, Donnie Yen left the '14 blades' crew for the filming of another show, his role being the famous musician, Tian Han and Vicki will be replacing Zhang Ziyi to take up the role as a female candidate trying for the election.

After the recruitment of many big shot stars in the 'The Great Cause of China's foundation' show, the rumours about Donnie Yen having a part in the show has been confirmed. Our impression of Donnie Yen is usually the tough guy with impeccable martial arts skills, but in real life, he plays the piano since young and is a great pianist. He once acted as a suave piano prince and the role is somehow similar to Tian Han. Therefore, he is very suitable for the role of Tian Han.

For the preparation of the show, Donnie Yen reached the film scene very early, and was looking excited. After warming up to the show, his previously felt martial arts aura was gone, instead, a gentlemanly image of Tian Han was portrayed. This is also the next refined and gentlemanly role Donnie Yen challenged since the show, 'Ip Man'.

The show Donnie Yen is in depicts the situation of revolutionary candidates Mao Ze Dong, Zhou En Lai and Tian Han trying to choose the National flag and National anthem and Donnie Yen is able to improve his acting skills by acting alongside with Tang Guo Qiang and Liu Jing. Everytime filming ends, Donnie Yen will always be concerned about the replays, analysing the details of every scenes to ensure he did his best. He also mentioned that he felt honoured to be able to present his mother with his effort for her birthday. Although Donnie Yen has no chance to flaunt his piano skills, he puts his acting into full play by livening the role, Tian Han and this got him compliments.

With no appearance from Zhang Ziyi, rumours about she having an opportunity of collaboration with Donnie Yen cant be fulfilled. However, another female star has been welcomed. She is Vicki, who has acted alongside with Donnie Yen in the show, '14 blades'. It is known that Vicki will be taking up the role as a female candidate trying for the election.

From what was know, filming of 'The Great Cause of China's foundation' will soon be completed in June and is estimated to be aired on 17 September.
